Gilmer High School is pleased to announce the Class of 2013 Commencement Exercise!

  •  Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 10:00 am at Huff-Mosley Memorial Stadium 
  •  No tickets are needed to attend the event, and admission is free to all spectators. 
  •   In an effort to show students the honor they deserve, Gilmer High School asks that all spectators treat the ceremony as a dignified event.  While the event will be held at the stadium, it is a serious event, not a game. 
  •  No pets, alcohol or tobacco will be permitted at the ceremony. 
  •   Small children must be attended and need to sit with their parents. 
  •  The event will air live on ETC3. 
  •  Spectators may enter the stadium through the main/upper gate or the lower gate beside Gilmer Middle School. 
  •  The gates will open promptly at 8:30 am for spectators, and seating will be “first come, first serve.” 
  •  All seating will be on the Home side of the field, and spectators will not be allowed on the field before or during the event. 
  •  Complimentary shuttle buses will be running for guests parking in the Gilmer High School and Mountain View Elementary parking lots. 
  •  The lot in front of Gilmer Middle School, accessible from Highway 5, will be permit parking only.  (Please see Diagram 1 below.)
  •  There will be a limited number of handicapped parking spots available in the upper parking lot.  (Please see Diagram 2 below.)
  • We look forward to celebrating this momentous occasion with the community!  Congratulations to the Class of 2013!!!!!!!

Important Senior Information

The senior class had an informational meeting on Thursday morning to discuss end of the school year and Commencement Exercise details.  You can watch a video of the meeting by clicking this link.

By clicking this link, you can view and print out the Commencement Decorum Letter that was distributed Thursday at the meeting. The seniors will not be able to participate without a parent or guardian signing a Commencement Decorum letter. You can get one in the Front office, Guidance office, or by printing one. These must be turned in to the front office or guidance office no later than May 22, 2013.

There is a mandatory practice Friday, May 24, 2013 at 9:00am for Seniors. If you do not come to the practice, you will not be able to participate in the Commencement Exercises. Seniors are to park in the upper field parking lot.

Please take care of any fines or fees you currently owe.  You will not be able to participate in the Commencement Exercises if you fail to take care of these financial responsibilities.

"First Saturdays" has been cancelled for the month of May.
