Gilmer Football "Lay the Wood"

John Wooden, the former basketball coach of the UCLA Bruins, defines success as "the peace of mind which is a result of self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do the best of which you are capable." It is my goal that every player in this program learn how to give their very best effort on the football field and in other aspects of their lives. If all on this team try to achieve this kind of success then this program will turn into what we want it to be. This off-season and next season our motto will be "Lay the Wood." Everything we do in this program will be geared toward laying a foundation of success.
