The Safety Divsion's primary purpose is to ensure the workplace safety of the Gilmer County Charter School System students and employees. The Safety Division tracks workplace injuries and identifies areas of safety concern. The Safety Division continuously conducts announced and unannounced safety inspections of our campus sites.
The Risk Management Division serves to provide risk prevention and mitigation services to Gilmer County Charter Schools aimed at reducing the System’s overall property/casualty losses, in a manner which supports the System’s Strategic Mission and Objectives.
Risk Management is responsible for procurement of all System excess property and casualty insurance policies, management and oversight of all third party liability and workers' compensation claims. Additionally, Risk Management administers Privacy Rights, the System’s Employee Health Testing, Environmental Compliance and Indoor Air Quality programs.
