Dexter Mosley Act
Home Study Student Participation in GCSS Activities
Starting with the 2021-2022 school year, the State of Georgia passed the Dexter Mosley Act, effectively creating a process for home study (homeschooling) students in grades 6-12 an opportunity to participate in extracurricular/interscholastic activities through their resident public school system.
The Gilmer County School System adopted these procedures for implementing the Dexter Mosley Act. Guidance can be found in the attached document(s).
